Cricket Australia’s Community Cricket Facility Guidelines (‘the Guidelines’) aim to provide a consolidated technical resource to aid the planning, design and development of community cricket infrastructure. Information included within the Guidelines will assist the Australian cricket community and our network of partners and stakeholders to continue to deliver quality, inclusive and fit-for-purpose facilities

Information provided within the Guidelines represents a national view of community cricket facilities. While research and care has been taken in their preparation, there are likely to be State, Territory or local considerations that are unique to specific areas. In all instances where unique considerations are relevant, these and other associated local conditions, rules or regulations should be referenced prior to embarking on any facility related project.

The Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund (ACIF) provides funding for community cricket facility projects, with a focus on growing participation, promoting accessibility and inclusivity and delivering upon Australian Cricket’s strategic priorities.

The ACIF will contribute approximately $5 million in 2024/25 into community facility projects, representing Cricket’s continued commitment to infrastructure funding.

The ACIF is open to all clubs, associations, schools, councils and cricket facility managers, acknowledging the important role that these partners play in providing facilities for community cricket across Australia.

The objectives of the ACIF are to:

1. Improve the provision and quality of cricket infrastructure across all levels of community cricket in line with Australian Cricket’s strategic priorities
2. Create inclusive and accessible environments for cricket participants and the broader community
3. Collaborate with all levels of government and funding partners to invest in strategic cricket infrastructure priorities.
