GRASSROOTS CRICKET FUND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How are you determining eligibility and how much funding is available in this funding round?

How can Cricket Clubs and Indoor Cricket Centres apply for funding through the Grassroots Cricket Fund (GCF) grants?

From Monday, 18 September 2023 (12pm AEST), clubs and centres will be able to apply for funding via an online form found via the GCF website. The round will close on Sunday, 29 October 2023 (11:59pm AEDT).

How long will the application process take?

Filling out the form should take no longer than 15 minutes however you are also required to gather quotations to include in your application.

Will it be necessary to provide quotes to showcase how we will utilise any funding we receive?

Yes, where applications include goods or services from a supplier, applications must, include official supplier quotes. All successful recipients of the grant will be required to fulfill the acquittal requirements which will include proof of payment.

If we have received funding in previous years of the GCF, are we still eligible to apply?

Yes, you are eligible to apply this season if you have satisfactorily met reporting requirements on any grants previously received from the GCF.

If we have applied for a grant previously do we still need to create new login details?

All clubs and centres, including those that have applied for funding via the Grassroots Cricket Fund in previous years will require a new account to complete this submission, unless the club has applied for the Australia Cricket Infrastructure Fund in any season after 2019/20.

Can I come back to my application and complete it at a later time?

Yes, you may save your application and go back to it at another time. Just ensure you remember your login details and submit the application prior to grant closure on Sunday, 15 October 2023 (11:59PM AEDT).

We didn’t complete our application in time, can we have an extension?

Incomplete Applications will be deemed invalid. Please refer to the terms and conditions, found on the website, for further information. If you are having problems submitting your application, you should contact the helpdesk on 1800 CRICKET or email gcf@cricket.com.au well in advance of the closing date and in time to seek assistance.

Will late applications be accepted?

No. The online system will not accept applications submitted after the published closing date and time.

What happens after I have submitted my application?

First you will receive an email notification that your application has been successfully submitted, this email will contain a PDF of your application. If you do not receive the confirmation email, your application may not have been submitted successfully, check your junk mail or email us at gcf@cricket.com.au.

When will I know if my application is successful or not?

Please allow 4 – 6 weeks for round closure to be notified on the status of your application.

Why are we required to provide our Club’s / Centre’s banking details?

If the application is successful, payments will be made to your nominated club bank account. An email will be sent to the nominated email address as a record of the payment. The information will only be used if the application is successful and not for any other purposes.

My club is not incorporated, am I eligible for funding?

For a club to be eligible for a grant, a club must be an incorporated body, at the time of application. You will be asked to provide your incorporation ID in the application. If you are unsure, please refer to your relevant government site to locate this information.

How do I locate my Club/Centre’s PlayHq ID?

What if we change our mind on how we wish to spend our funding?

Once submitted, no changes to an application will be permitted. You must use the grant only for the purposes stated in your application. An application may be withdrawn by you or your Club/ Centre upon written notice to us at gcf@cricket.com.au.
