Program Overview
Cricket Australia has launched a bold 10-year Women & Girls Action Plan to significantly impact the trajectory of women and girls in cricket. One of the five aspirations is to create a stronger presence of women leaders within the game, including the community level. Project Inspire is aiming to build capacity in the next generation of women leaders, creating a community of changemakers who, with skill and passion, will inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
Program Highlights and Commitment
Who should apply?
Cricket is a sport for all Australians. We recognise our differences are our strength and a diverse and inclusive cricket community is fundamental to our success. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, women of colour, women who identify as LGBTIQ+, women with diverse religious beliefs and women with a disability to apply. Our culture is founded on our values: Aspire, Respect, Lead together.
We believe cricket will benefit from a growing cohort of skilled women who can create positive change that benefits the cricket community. We’re supporting this belief by getting serious about helping women grow and become the leader they want to be.
We’re looking for women who:
- are involved in the game as volunteers (players, match officials, coaches, and/or administrators);
- have bold and innovative ideas to make a big impact on the experience of women and girls in cricket; and
- are passionate and have a sense of adventure to get in and do the work to build their skills as a leader.
