State Blind and Low Vision Satellite Coach - Melbourne & Brisbane
An exciting, challenging, unique and rewarding coaching opportunity to work with athletes in Cricket Australia’s National Blind Squad has recently become available.
Whilst blind cricket is played a little differently, many of the core technical skills are very similar to sighted cricket.
Requirements:
•Plan and run 6 x 120 minute satellite coaching sessions for National Blind Squad players based in Melbourne or Brisbane.
•1 x session per month from approximately October 2021 to March 2022.
•Work closely with the National Blind Squad coaching and support staff to plan and review each session.
Qualifications:
•Previous blind cricket experience is not essential.
•Minimum Representative coaching accreditation (former Level 2) required
•Well developed communication and relationship building skills are critical along with the ability to adapt and continuously learn and develop
Remuneration:
•An honorarium of $720 is available for the successful candidate(s).
