Inaugural Community Umpire Administrator of the Season Award!

Cricket Australia recognises the important role Umpire Administrator's have in our Game. From recruiting umpires, creating an enjoyable and inclusive environment and ensuring the future of cricket umpiring, their contributions are invaluable. Given this, we are excited to announce a new award for the 2024/25 season: the 'Community Umpire Administrator of the Season'.

The inaugural recipient is Western Region Junior Cricket Association's Natalia Isaacs!

Natalia Isaacs (Vic) has been instrumental in the development and management of Junior Umpires in the WRJCA, ensuring they are well-equipped and confident in their roles. She takes a hands-on approach by organizing comprehensive pre-season training, helping young umpires understand the fundamentals, refine their decision-making skills, and build confidence before the season begins.

Beyond training, she plays a critical role in weekly umpire appointments, carefully considering factors such as location and travel distance to ensure young umpires are placed in suitable matches close to home. Her attention to detail and commitment to their well-being have made a significant impact on their overall experience. Natalia has also been actively engaged in our regular catch-ups, contributing valuable insights and demonstrating a strong understanding of OHQ. Her dedication, organization, and proactive approach make her an invaluable asset to the Junior Umpiring program at the WRJCA.

While this award recognises just one umpire administrator, we know that around Australia there are many instrumental people who spend hours behind the scenes setting appointments, managing changes to umpires or matches, addressing match concerns and many other tasks. On behalf of the entire cricket community, we thank those umpire administrators for everything they do, so that umpires and players have the best possible experience.
