The Western Australia Cricket Umpires Association have announced their Premier Cricket season award winners for 2024-25.
Western Australia Premier Cricket Umpire Panel member Matthew Hall won the First Grade Umpire of the Year Award for the second year in a row following an outstanding season. Awards are decided by captains’ assessments across the entire season. Peta Merrilees was named both Women’s First Grade Umpire of the Year and Men’s Second Grade Umpire of the Year. Merrilees is a former player having played 61 WNCL matches and 21 Domestic T20 matches for Western Australia. Ryan Sookraj won the Peter McConnell Medal as Most Promising Umpire of the year.
