Play Veterans Cricket

Veterans cricket lets men and women aged 40 and over keep playing the game they love in a social, welcoming and inclusive environment.

Why Play Veterans Cricket

  • Play Ages 40 and Over

  • Be Social. Be Active.

  • Modified Rules. Real Cricket.

What you can do in Veterans Cricket

  • Local and regional competitions

You can represent your local club or region (where a club team is not available) in veterans leagues across your state or territory. Many associations also organise regional carnivals and social tours, giving veterans extra chances to travel and play.

  • Representative pathway

Veterans go beyond local cricket, with the option of state and national events for men’s over 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s and women’s over 40s. Or take your legacy global. Play in World Veterans Championships with Australian age group teams that selected to play.

Ready to Begin - How to Get Started

  • Many clubs list veterans teams on their Play Cricket pages, and state veterans bodies in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, WA and Tasmania promote local contacts and competitions.

  • After you register, your club or competition will confirm training times, match days and season dates, and introduce you to coaches or captains who can help you settle in.
