Aussie pair to Officiate in Women’s T20 World Cup

Cricket Australia (CA) and International Cricket Council (ICC) International Development Umpire panellists Claire Polosak and Eloise Sheridan have been appointed to stand in the Women’s T20 World Cup being held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this month.

The 2024 event will be the fifth T20 World Cup for Polosak having been appointed to the 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2023 tournaments previously. Polosak was appointed to the Semi-Finals of the last three tournaments. In addition to the T20 version, Polosak has also officiated in the last two 50-Over events in the United Kingdom and New Zealand including appointment to the Semi-Final in 2022.

Fellow Australian Sheridan steps out for her second T20 World Cup having also officiated in the 2023 tournament in South Africa. Sheridan was also present in New Zealand for the 2022 50-Over World Cup in New Zealand which included appointment to the Semi-Final.

Both umpires will serve in all capacities appointed on-field, as TV Umpire and as Fourth Umpire. Both umpires are appointed on-field in four matches, with a further two matches as TV Umpire and two more matches as Fourth Umpire. The tournament will be held in both Dubai and Sharjah in the UAE with the Final to take place on Sunday 20th October.
