The Queensland Cricket Umpires & Scorers Association announced their 2024/25 Umpiring Awards at the Annual Bob Spence Medal Dinner.
Among the list of winners were Ben Farrell who took out the Association’s top honour claiming the Bob Spence Medal for a second time having won the award in the 2015-16 season. Farrell currently serves on Queensland’s State & Territory Umpire Panel (STUP) and officiated in Cricket Australia domestic competitions this season. Fellow STUP member Nathan James won the Bruce Oxenford Award for First-Grade Umpire of the Year for the second time having previously won in 2022-23. Queensland Premier Cricket Umpire Panel member Lachlan Nolan was awarded the Mel Johnson Trophy.
