International Cricket Council (ICC) Emerging Umpires Group and Cricket Australia (CA) Contracted Umpire Panel member Eloise Sheridan has been appointed to the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Final between South Africa and India.
The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 is Sheridan’s fifth world event having previously officiated in the 2022 World Cup in New Zealand, the 2023 and 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cups in South Africa and the United Arab Emirates, and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in England. Sheridan was appointed on-field to the 2022 Semi-Final between England and South Africa and was TV Umpire for the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Semi-Final between New Zealand and the West Indies.
Sheridan made her Women’s One Day International debut back in 2021 when Australia played India at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay as part of the multi-format series between the two nations. Apart from officiating in home internationals, Sheridan has been appointed by the ICC to stand in neutral fixtures in New Zealand and India. Sheridan’s International career has so far seen appointments on-field to three Test Matches, 28 One Day Internationals and 36 T20 Internationals in the women’s game. As a member of CA’s Contracted Umpire Panel, Sheridan has so far stood in three First-Class, Three List-A and 5 men’s Big Bash League matches.
Sheridan will stand alongside Jacqueline Willaims from the West Indies, England’s Sue Redfern as TV Umpire and Fourth Umpire Nimali Perera from Sri Lanka. Overseeing proceedings will be ICC International Panel Match Referee Michell Pereira, also from Sri Lanka.
