The Community Umpire of the Month award is back for 2025/26. The return of this award saw an increase in nominations compared to any month last season. All 4 categories received nominations.
Charlie’s dedication to umpiring on the Sunshine Coast has transformed training, mentoring, and match conditions. He runs inclusive courses, arranges mentoring, and provides facilities. His leadership in revising playing conditions improved harmony across competitions, and his clear communication ensured smooth implementation, making him a cornerstone of regional umpire development.
Karen has umpired over 1,000 matches across all levels for 19 years, breaking barriers for women in cricket. Her professionalism, empathy, and inclusive spirit, especially during events like The Blind Ashes, make her a respected role model and pioneer, inspiring greater diversity and dedication in the sport.
Naveen Vinod’s commitment to community cricket and umpiring shines through his professionalism, fairness, and inclusive leadership. As a QCUSA contributor and role model, he promotes multicultural participation, mentors emerging umpires, and upholds cricket’s core values.
Taking up umpiring in 2023, Aryan’s calm decision-making, integrity, and professionalism set him apart. His deep understanding of the game, commitment to growth, and respect from peers highlight his potential as a future leading umpire.
