Australian Match Officials Abroad

Australian Match Officials are having a busy winter officiating in various series around the world having been appointed by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Cricket Australia (CA) Contracted Umpire Panel and ICC Emerging Panel member Sam Nogajski was appointed by the ICC to officiate in the three-game One-Day International series between the England and India men’s teams in the United Kingdom. Nogajski was on field for the second match of the series at Sofia Gardens in Cardiff. Nogajski was the TV Umpire for the first match at Edgbaston and the third match at Lords.

Fellow Australian Eloise Sheridan has been appointed by the ICC to the forthcoming three game Women’s One-Day International series between England and Ireland also in the United Kingdom. Three matches will take place on the County Grounds Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Worcestershire. The series will conclude on the 6th September meaning Sheridan will fly home to prepare for the start of the Australian domestic season.

Following his men’s Test Match debut in June, CA and ICC Match Referee David Gilbert was appointed to officiate the men’s T20 and One Day International series between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in Zimbabwe last month.
