2026-27 State and Territory Umpire Panels

State and Territory Umpire Panels (STUP) for season 2026/27 are set to commence their season across the country.

In total, 36 umpires have been selected by State and Territory Associations to join their respective Umpire Panels for the upcoming season. Five umpires have been appointed to the STUP for the first time. Bob McGregor and Nic Warburton in New South Wales, Ali Cheema and Purvag Nanavati in South Australia and Jason Shelton in Tasmania will all feature in Cricket Australia (CA) matches for the first time.

Alongside Premier Cricket commitments, members of respective STUP’s will be appointed to officiate in the Weber WBBL, T20 Spring Challenge, Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL); Toyota Second XI; CA Underage National Championships and as Fourth Umpires in the KFC BBL. 

State and Territory Umpire Panels will be complemented by the CA Contracted Umpire Panel members across all formats.

• Northern Territory | Imran Muhammad and Robert Stewart.
• New South Wales | Jeff Egan, Patrick Jackson, Bob McGregor, Kate Rowlands and Nic Warburton.
• Queensland | Simon Bussey, Benjamin Farrell, Nathan James, Michael Mellifont and Kylie White.
• South Australia | Dhaval Bhatt, Ali Cheema, James Cushway, Kurt Miegel and Purvag Nanavati.
• Tasmania | Sam Burns, Simon Burns, Muhammad Qureshi, Melissa Scolyer, Jason Shelton.
• Victoria | Ashfaq Ali, Gaurav Bawa, Louise Broadfoot, Clare Haysom, Bede Sajowitz and Malcolm Wood.
• Western Australia | Jarryd Buscall, Ashlee Gibbons, Kate Holloman, Ahmad Khan, Peta Merrilees and Lauren McGill.
