What a start to the season!
Cricket has really taken off, and with it, umpires are taking the field all over the country (and the world for some). Here is what has been happening in the world of umpiring...
OCTOBER COMMUNITY UMPIRES OF THE MONTH
The Community Umpires of the Month have returned after a successful 2024/25. To kick off this season's awards, we have 4 fantastic recipients!
During October, we received a total of 22 nominations, which is over 50% of ALL nominations from last season. With an increase in nominations comes an increase in quality of umpires being recognised for the work they do within our communities.

INDIGENOUS PATHWAY
Cricket Australia is seeking expressions of interest for the soon-to-be-established Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Umpire Development Program.
The program is being developed to create a dedicated pathway for Indigenous umpires to learn, develop, and be mentored through Cricket Australia and State/Territory umpiring departments. Participants will also have opportunities to officiate at the National Indigenous Cricket Carnival and other key events.
While details are still being finalised, we invite current or aspiring Indigenous umpires to register their interest and stay informed as the initiative develops. Express Interest
