Cricket Australia would like to congratulate the January Male, Multicultural and Emerging Umpires of the Month.
3 umpires are being recognised for the month of January. Ivan (NSW) has been named Male Umpire of the Month, Daksh (NSW) has been named Multicultural Umpire of the Month, and Maureen (WA) is the Emerging Umpire of the Month.
Ivan reaches a remarkable milestone by officiating his 400th Shires Competition match, becoming only the second SSCUA member to do so in 25 years. An original member since 2001, Ivan’s loyalty, humility, and consistent support of fellow umpires exemplify outstanding dedication to community cricket.
After a continuous period of conscious self-improvement, including being appointed to the 1st grade panel to NSW Women's Premier Cricket, Daksh this year made his 1st Grade debut in NSW Men's Premier Cricket, with an average mark from 2nd grade captains of over 4.85/5.
Maureen began umpiring three years ago in junior female cricket, progressing rapidly through finals appointments. Now officiating FYL Under 17 and junior male competitions, including the FYL U17 T20 Final at the WACA, she earns strong reports, supports developing umpires, and always brings positivity—umpiring every match with a smile.
Congratulations again to Ivan, Daksh and Maureen for your contributions to cricket and your communities. February nominations are open, and you can submit here.
